PawPrint is built privacy-first. We collect only what we need to help you plan your dog's day.
Your account, dog profile, PawPilot Memory, walks, preferences (like your usual walk time), and entitlement state. We never store your exact home location — only the general area you choose. If you use Meetups, we also keep your age band (never your birth month or year), the optional prompts you write, and — privately, visible only to you — your gender and what you are open to.
If you tap to confirm the sky in an area, we store that report (the area, the condition you picked, and whether you said you were nearby) for up to 45 minutes, plus a running count of your lifetime reports for your Sky Scout badge. Reports never include your coordinates — the "nearby" label is only ever the yes/no you chose.
To open the app in the right market, we ask our hosting provider (Vercel) which country your request came from, and roughly where in it — a city-level approximate position it works out from your IP address as part of routing you. We read only that answer, never the address itself, and we don't log it. Your browser keeps the country and that approximate position for up to 24 hours so we don't have to ask again. Two things use it. If you're signed in, the market we resolve (a country code — never the position, never the address) is saved to your settings so the same market follows you across devices. And until you share your location, that approximate position is what we ask our weather provider (Open-Meteo, outside Singapore) to read a forecast for; the app labels that reading "Approximate location". Open-Meteo only ever receives the coordinate we read the weather for — your shared location, snapped to a coarse grid before it leaves your device; your home area's centre; or the approximate position above — never your account. If you'd rather we didn't ask at all, blocking it simply falls back to your device's timezone, which is what we read first in any case.
We don't sell your data, log raw AI prompts with sensitive content, or expose your private dog notes to other users.
Payments are processed by Stripe on the web, and by Apple or Google (via RevenueCat) in the store apps. We never see or store your full card details.
PawPilot answers are generated by a third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic's Claude API). Only your message and the context needed to answer it — like your dog's profile, saved PawPilot Memory, and current weather — are sent; never your email, password, or payment details. Under our API terms the provider does not use your messages to train its models. If you'd rather keep something out of AI processing, don't include it in a PawPilot message. If you report a PawPilot answer, we store that answer and the reason you chose so a person can read it and fix what PawPilot says — we do not store your question.
Weather readings come from Singapore's official nowcast in Singapore and from a licensed model forecast elsewhere, and each one is credited under the reading it produced. Singapore: Contains information from the 2-hour Weather Forecast from data.gov.sg which is made available under the terms of the Singapore Open Data Licence version 1.0 (https://data.gov.sg/open-data-licence). The forecast is re-read every few minutes, so the access date is the date of the reading you are looking at. PawPrint is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the National Environment Agency. Outside Singapore: weather data by Open-Meteo.com, used under CC BY 4.0, and shown as a model forecast rather than a station reading; PawPrint derives its own walk call from that data, so the call is ours and not Open-Meteo's. Whatever the source, the call is an estimate and never a guarantee.
PawPrint is operated for Singapore and handles personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). You can access, correct, or delete your data — delete your account anytime from Profile, or email support@pawprint.live for any data request.
